How do you spend your weekends?

My family lives in QC so we’re lucky we have lots of fun choices! We have two of the biggest malls – Trinoma and SM North EDSA. They’re just a few rides away from our place. In malls we go window shopping, bargain hunting or just plain lurking! The weekend market in Eton Centris is also a destination. You can go on food trips or scout for organic produce. You can even buy plants or pets there.
QC has lots of green patches!  These include Quezon Memorial Circle and the La Mesa Ecopark.  But the green patch we visit most is the UP Diliman Campus. Even as a a college student, i fell in love with this place. On weekends, especially Sunday, UP becomes a haven for runners, bikers and us – walkers!

Among all these weekend destinations, hubby and I prefer to just hang out in the greens of UP Diliman. It's much healthier. It's also the most inexpensive gimik option. After walking around the Acad Oval we eat all the fish balls and cheese sticks that we can. There are several places to eat that are distinctly UP. This includes the Rodic's, Khas Food House and our personal favorite - Mashiita, a Korean food place in Shopping Center.
Now if you’re interested in a healthy family weekend bonding or just looking for a reason to go to UP Diliman,  you might want to join my old college's event!  It's Arangkada @30 Geography Fun Run. It's happening on September 14, 2013 (Saturday), Time: 6-8PM. Venue is the  Academic Oval

But what i love most about this event is the singlet! I like to get one just so i can have motivation to exercise. haha

This post made me miss UP Diliman so much!

One can never have too many open spaces and parks.

Yup. We're lucky to have such a big and sprawling green campus. I miss college life too.
